Bupa Dental case study

How we helped Bupa Dental get back to work during the pandemic with COVID-19 prevention and area handling training (inline with their IPC Training process) – using bespoke animation and gamification to support learner knowledge retention.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought about a sudden and unprecedented change in how organisations operate. Bupa Dental, like many healthcare organisations, had to find new ways to operate and ensure the safety of their staff and patients. In response to this challenge, Bupa Dental partnered with Disrupt, an eLearning company, to develop an engaging and interactive eLearning course that would teach their team members how to work safely with patients during the pandemic.

Background

Bupa Dental is a leading dental care provider in the United Kingdom. The company provides a range of dental services, including routine checkups, emergency care, and specialist treatments. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bupa Dental had to adapt to new ways of working to ensure the safety of their staff and patients. One of the challenges they faced was ensuring that their team members were trained on how to work safely with patients during the pandemic.

Solution

Bupa Dental partnered with Disrupt, an eLearning company, to develop an engaging and interactive eLearning course to teach their team members how to work safely with patients during the pandemic. Disrupt worked closely with Bupa Dental to develop a bespoke eLearning course that met their specific needs. The course included bespoke animation, interactive quizzes, and real-life scenarios to engage team members and teach them about how to work safely with patients.

Disrupt’s team of instructional designers worked with Bupa Dental to identify the key learning objectives for the course. They then developed a storyboard and script that outlined the content of the course. Once the storyboard and script were approved, Disrupt’s team of animators began creating bespoke animations that would bring the content to life. The animations were designed to be engaging and informative, and they helped to reinforce the key learning points.

In addition to the animations, Disrupt also developed interactive quizzes that were embedded throughout the course. These quizzes helped to reinforce the key learning points and ensure that team members were retaining the information they were learning.

Outcome

The eLearning course developed by Disrupt was a huge success. Bupa Dental team members found the course engaging and informative, and they were able to learn how to work safely with patients during the pandemic.
